We want the best for our breeding dogs!
Guardian Home Program
At Beaver Valley Bulldogges, our Guardian Home Program is designed to ensure every breeding dog in our program lives a full, happy, and enriched life as a cherished family companion. Rather than housing multiple dogs in a kennel environment, we partner with loving families who provide permanent, forever homes for select breeding dogs while we retain breeding rights for a set period of time. This allows our dogs to enjoy the attention, socialization, and comfort that only a family environment can provide—while also helping us continue to responsibly grow and improve our breeding program.
What Is a Guardian Home?
A Guardian Home is a carefully chosen family that agrees to raise and care for one of our breeding dogs as their own. Guardians receive a top-quality puppy or adult breeding prospect at little to no upfront cost. In return, the dog remains part of our breeding program for a specified number of litters or years. Once the breeding career is complete, full ownership is transferred to the Guardian Home and the dog is officially retired and stays with their family permanently.
How It Works
-
Placement: Dogs placed in guardian homes are typically puppies, though occasional adults may be available. We match each dog with a family based on lifestyle, location, and compatibility.
-
Care: Guardian families provide all routine care—daily love and attention, regular exercise, high-quality nutrition, training, and typical veterinary care.
-
Breeding Requirements: We cover all costs related to health testing, breeding, and whelping. When it’s time for breeding or delivery, dogs return to our home temporarily for mating (a few days), pregnancy care, or raising puppies (5-6 weeks). We only breed a dog 3 times (or less) before retiring.
-
Communication: Guardian homes must maintain regular communication, keep the dog well-socialized and properly trained, and notify us of any health or behavioral concerns.
-
Retirement: After fulfilling their breeding obligations, the dog is spayed/neutered at our expense and ownership is officially signed over to the guardian family.

Why We Offer a Guardian Program
Our mission is to raise healthy, well-adjusted dogs who thrive in a loving family environment. The Guardian Home Program helps limit the number of dogs we keep at our home while ensuring every breeding dog enjoys the one-on-one attention and quality of life they deserve.
